Two of my cousins were born with Cystic Fibrosis. They started treatment at birth and will continue their entire lives.
When they were born they were only expected to live for approximately 20 years. Now the life expectancy for people with CF is closer to 40 years. Because of great research and many dollars given, the life expectancy of children with CF has been doubled in the last decade!
My family will walk 5 kilometers this spring in honor of the money raised for Cystic Fibrosis and the amazing research that is helping discover new medical information. Every dollar raised brings us closer to finding a cure! A cure may mean that my cousins may live to have families of their own, and possibly even meet their grandchildren!
My Cousins:
Maegan is 14 years old and is a vibrant, sweet young lady with a passion for life. She loves gymnastics.
Micah is an 11 year old with a quick wit. He loves sports, especially football.
